THE GUARDIAN GOODS STORY
I’ve always had a soft spot for the ones who need a little extra love.
The scared shelter dog. The misunderstood breed. The one everyone else calls “too much.”
I’m also the person who waves at every dog I see and somehow always finds the animals at the party. 🐾
So in a way, Guardian Goods existed in my heart long before it became a brand.
It Started With Norman
Norman had been badly abused before I met him.
His tail had even been broken and healed at an angle, giving him what we lovingly called his little duck tail.
Earning his trust took patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love. But eventually, Norman became my soul dog.
He moved through Florida, South Carolina, and Michigan with me, walked me down the aisle, and became part of every chapter of my life.
Six months after losing Norman, Lily came into ours.
Then Came Lily
Lily is the reason Guardian Goods exists.
She’s our husky, our baby, and the inspiration behind the brand.
She’s sweet, goofy, incredibly loving, and yet, when we were renting, her breed alone meant apartment restrictions and insurance concerns.
To us, she was simply Lily.
That disconnect between who these dogs really are and how they’re often perceived became the heart of Guardian Goods.
